As it happens, my own relationship with the Headmaster was quite amicable – indeed we were vaguely related! – and I have no personal axe to grind. What really gets to me, however, is humbug and hypocrisy – in this case a Headmaster severely punishing a boy for some misdemeanor whilst flouting the law of the land himself!
I don’t know the boy – I only wish that I did.It would be good to ask him why he had not gone ahead with proceedings.
