It was possible that I might never be presented with a good enough excuse to wallop her backside as the other teacher had done. But the second thing that had now finally dawned on me was that she was not unique and that slippering almost any other girl in the school would probably give me just as much pleasure as slippering her. I looked around at other girls as they walked through the corridors and imagined them bending over ready for me to administer my newly acquired rubber plimsoll to their bottoms, and then, with their slipperings completed, watching them desperately trying to rub away the sting.
