Private schools don’t seem to have the same problems the state schools experience, they hung on to some of the more formal teaching methods and traditions. Where state schools failed to put something in place of CP, the private sector sort out other approaches to punishments with parental support, that seem to have worked, which tends to support the argument that boys can respond just as well to alternative methods of punishment without the cane given the right circumstances and support.
