A Valid Point, in the case of CP I think the Scots found a happy medium and got it right. More equality and taking away any sexual element.
Except, of course, that this isn’t actually true. The use of corporal punishment in Scottish schools was nowhere near as ‘gender equitable’ as the internet tries to tell people. Boys were still given corporal punishment far more often than girls.
Like Jenny I don’t see women psychologically damaged any more than men by CP under the right circumstances.
It’s very hard for most people to know if somebody is ‘psychologically damaged’. It’s not like they wear labels around their neck. And even if you do know, how, in most cases, would you have any idea of the causes?
