The Prince of Wales did attend Geelong Grammar (not Geelong School – there is also a second elite school in Geelong, The Geelong College) for two terms in 1966, spending most of his time at the bush campus Timbertop (which I helped build, but which formally opened after I’d left the school about a decade earlier). That’s what finally cemented its boasting rights above other prominent schools. Most of his schooling was at Gordonstoun in Scotland, but he is considered to be, and does consider himself to be an Old Geelong Grammarian.
