From 1959-1964, I caned very often but relatively moderately in terms of severity. From 1964 to 1972, I caned far less often and generally just as moderately, but occasionally had to hand out very severe punishments. From 1975 to 1985 or so, those very severe punishments became much less severe, although they still stood out as special cases, and my standard caning became as moderate as I could make it while still serving it’s purpose. From the mid 1980s to the present, things have remained at a fairly similar level when I use the cane, but conditions surrounding its use – rules and regulations – have changed (and I’ve developed a lot of those changes).
