On Monday morning during the break the Headmaster would see everyone who was on report and you would hand your form in, if you had 3 or more “unsatis” reports you got 3 strokes of the cane. I got my third unsatis on a Thursday so I spent the whole weekend at home knowing I was going to get caned on Monday morning. I tried not to show anything was wrong when I went to school on Monday but by now I was very frightened as you might imagine. When the time came about 6-7 of us lined up outside the Headmasters study and he opened the door and we all filed in.
