I wonder if anyone here ever experienced unfair discrimination at their school when it came to corporal punishment.
I am not talking about gender or racial discrimination, but of teachers’ pets versus those which some teacher did not fancy, for whom teachers had less tolerance for misbehaviour and would punish more often. At least this was my experience at school.
I have one unique experience which I don’t know if happened anywhere else. In late primary school we had a big boy in our class who was a continuous repeater and consequently a bit older than us boys in class. He was very heavily built and larger and taller than our class teacher who was scared of him.
