One class clown couldn’t resist impersonating the voices of teachers, making silly remarks as he sat at the back of the class. To the class this was very funny, but eventually it ceased to be amusing for the teachers concerned and he was sent to the headmaster to be caned. Incredibly, when he entered the office he decided to poke fun at the head, bursting out laughing when the punishment book and cane were produced. I don’t think it was a good strategy. The caning quietened him for a time, but he remained a bit of a comedian. I believe he is now an eminent scientist, so it didn’t hold him back!
