The problem with school punishment books is that there is a retriction of 50 years before you can see them so 1970’s would not be available for viewing
I am sure some of the boys in by school who felt Miss O’s wooden pencil case were not ewcorded though.
An interesting point about the 50 years. I wonder if it might be variable between the various agencies likely to retain UK school punishment books – those that make it into archives that is!
Certainly Mike Wood, current head of Greenfield Primary School, Oldham, pictured in the Daily Mail article displaying one of the Punishment Books, doesn’t seem to have been worried about this when releasing details to a big circulation national paper.
