there was a time limit to each stroke of the cane applied to the bottom, and as we all know there is a 4 or 5-second delay as to when then stinging takes hold. this is the point I make, as in, is the headmaster taught to cane a bottom and wait till the sting comes through before the next whack or does he carry on and deliver the allotted dose? my headmaster was very experienced and knew how to deliver a good caning. Who taught him.. or was it just by experience from his own schooldays or homelife…
