Also if Fiona had been abused would she not have now taken legal action?
Fiona seems like a nice, sensible, and intelligent girl. She has said that she was slippered at school and nothing more. If she had been abused like that then surely she would have at least hinted at it? She is only now saying that the master probably enjoyed doing it. She was not aware of this fact at the time. Perhaps he did not enjoy giving her the slipper? Perhaps he thought he was doing his job and maintaining discipline.
