it’s clear it has virtually no respect for international agreements – no matter what they’re called. One reason the UK will never become the 51st (or any other) State of the US is that the government would have to grant us constitutional rights. As it stands the government would not want to grant us 1st amendment rights. You can forget the 2nd. The 3rd would probably be OK, until it became inconvenient. Our equivalent of the 4th has gone (S18 Police & Criminal Evidence Act I think) and our equivalents of the 5th and 6th have been considerably watered down. I shan’t bother to go on – there’s enough there already.
