When we moved to England for 2 years I was sent to a nearby Catholic School.
I did not know what to expect after the violence I had seen back home.
The system was similar but the CP was different in many ways.
Classroom discipline was maintained by the slipper which was really a plimsole.
It was quite strange to see pupils called out to the front of the class for any minor lapses and told to bend over for up to 6 whacks. Then they would be sent back to their desks as if nothing had happened.
