Uk schools are financed under a number of complicated formulas.

Pupil nos and their ages in one factor.

School building Area is another.

Most of the funding is Government provided but channelled via local authorities.

Schools have reputations bassed mostly on results however these can be misleading as they only reflect the catchment area of the school. What happens is that teachers are attracted to these schools so it becomes more difficult to attract good teachers to schools lower down the list.

There is a depriavtion allowance in funding which helps.

As you would expect behavior effects the standard of learning and where you have disrutive pupils standards tend to be lower. The problem partly lays with parents who do not know how to install discipline from a very early age. A number of parenting classes have been established but problem parents do not tend to be attracted.

The problem is that punishment options for parents are limited and children know it but I think we know that
