Spankings were always bare bottom in our house and the person giving the spanking always lowered the underwear themselves. I remember Mum saying a couple of times, “Are you going to take your knickers down or do I have to do it?” – and I think in retrospect that she wanted me to do it myself probably as a sign of acceptance or compliance. But I was always crying too much, and begging her not to spank me to be able to do it myself.
