“The local authority has worked closely with the school community to ensure that staff and families are supported through this very difficult time.
“The West Sussex Local Safeguarding Children Board, which is made up of representatives from the police, county council, health and other agencies will be evaluating the outcomes of the investigation to see if there are any lessons that can be learned to improve the way local services work together on child protection issues.”
