If you wanted me to use a grown-up thermometer, you shouldn’t have messed around with it last time. You’re going to have to get used to baby thermometers around me because that’s all you’re getting from now on. Now loosen up unless you want a good bottom warming first. Though one part of Billy thought that would be just fine, he relented and allowed her to spread his cheeks and insert the thermometer. As before, she held it in place with her hand resting lightly against his bottom. And this time, she waited a full five minutes.
