Practical jokes on teachers were the reserve of senior school, can’t tell you how many times my poor dad returned from school thinking his car had blown up, or his exhaust dropped off or he got a puncture, remember the orange indicators that used to pop out the side of cars and flash, nearly three weeks before he realized some fifth formers had painted them black, the worst part was trying to keep a straight face while pouring out his troubles during meal times, oh happy days.
