at my school in the sixties. it was normal practice for some teachers to slipper boys who forgot their homework. I became interested to find out what it would be like to be slippered. so on one occasion in the first year.I told my Spanish teacher that I had left my book at home. although I had in fact done my homework, and had it with me. the result was that I was called to the front of the class. and given three of the best with a size 10 plimsol. it hurt like hell but satisfied my curiosity.
