I have to say however that the opening theme of the foundation post was a declaration that school CP should be reintroduced, albeit for boys only. As we are all aware, any reintroduction in the UK, whether for boys only, or for boys and girls, and whether targeted at the hands, the bottom, or any other portion of the anatomy, is so unlikely as to be in effect impossible.
But even if there was a faint glimmer of hope that it might happen, one thing guaranteed to stifle it at birth would be a requirement for pupils to disrobe in any way for its administration. Skirt lifting and trousers dropping might, nay did, pass muster in some circumstances in the past, but it would never do in the glaring spotlight of the 21st century media.
