As for lines or detentions, they turn ordinary school work into a punishment thus discouraging a student from studying. Don’t you think a girl’s education is important? In any case, most of the time I got either, I just didn’t bother to do them and got the slipper instead.

They also demean girls and women by treating us as inferior. We are just as capable as men of accepting responsibility for their decisions and actions.

I’m quite capable of carrying, for example, a PC; putting it on a bench; stripping it down; replacing the CPU; rebuilding it; AND getting it to work! I wouldn’t mind your opening the door for me if I’m carrying a PC though.

Thus far, you’ve shown us how boys can be taught to disrespect girls. Perhaps, in your next post, you can tell us how boys AND girls can be taught to respect others – of both sexes.

It was called “sexism” and had no purpose other than to keep women “in their place”. We’re a lot better off without it
