i got the ruler on the back of my legs for talking and I can still feel it now ouch no other ways of correction in schools

Hi yes i did have the slipper at school.Only the once & i made sure i didnt get it again it hurt!! Its a long time ago but i think it was fro persistently talking in class.
Ithink it should be brought back if only as a deterant.Also i think its use should be well controlled & not given out willy nilly
