The first time I was caned in high school my headmaster recorded my punishment in a type of account book but I did not see him record my punishment the second time he caned me. I was standing in front of his desk with my bottom absolutely on fire. I could see what he was putting in the book and he wrote
my name: “Nathan Donnelly”
my offense: “Misbehviour on the way to school”; and
my punishment: “Cane 6 strokes”
