Of course, no one was ever told to drop their pants. Occasionally, after the lesson, when the teacher had gone, the “victim” would voluntarily and discreetly lower his pants just far enough to display the marks…which weren’t usually that impressive. Generally though, if you wanted to inspect people’s slipper marks, you had to wait until showers after PE. Most weeks, I guess about a quarter of the class would have slipper marks to display. It wasn’t really a badge of honor, but people might remark on them, like “That’s a juicy one” or “Did that hurt much”.
