The teacher who slippered me and possibly the girl, was well know for being the scary teacher and head of year I think. In earlier year he was the teacher boys most often were sent to by lady teachers who didn’t want to deal with troublemakers. I think the slipper was his usual choice of weapon although the meter stick was another favorite but in a more jovial front of the class punishment for talking in lesson. I never saw a girl get this by the way, but they laughed along with the spectacle. After class punishments were the formal ones and that I think always meant a whacked backside with his size 11 pump.
