How can his research be discredited when he contacted some ex-Bacons girls through their friend’s reunited pages and e-mail them privately? There is, or was since removed by the powers that be, for libel reasons, plenty of posts on friends reunited, supporting his claims. Sue Olds was only 14, but there can be no doubt whatsoever that she was caned several times at that school. It has been reported that all other teachers caned on the hands, it was only W Ing that caned on the bottom, both girls and boys. Did Sue only get caned on the hands because her offense was not regarded as serious enough to warrant being sent to the headmaster? Or were it only older girls that were due for a more severe caning and considered suitable, and able to withstand being caned on the bottom by Mr Ing.
