Had this been clearly stated to the girls if not the boys, and to the parents of girls? If that was the school’s policy and had stated that to both the girls, and parents of girls, then so be it. The differing methods of caning girls and boys is understandable due to the different styles of uniform. It is to be hoped that in other places where this style of difference was employed girls were not caned as hard because of having less protection.
