The main thing we are talking about with Bacons, was this an open and declared method of punishment. It was NOT. This leaves one with the feeling that it was underhand and something they wanted to keep “confidential”, in other words secret. Why were statements issued saying this was a matter of confidentiality between parents and school when the school was being asked what its policy was in general, and not in any one instance?
