Another Lurker recognizes it in celebrity, but, surprisingly for such an intelligent correspondent, in the manner of the forelock-tugging proletariat fails to recognize that the great and powerful are just as myopic and subject to abusing their ‘authority’ as anyone. Whether it be Tory ministers riding bikes where bikes are clearly told not to go ( regardless of whether or not he used the ‘f’ or the ‘p’ word) , to Lord Goddard with a disgraceful misreading of the law is commonplace. Indeed, the judiciary’s record in this country is little short of appalling.
