On a micro scale schools are no different. In the 50 , 60 ‘s, and 70’s Headmasters relied upon ‘PLUs’ being on the bench who thought the odd OTT thrashing was a ‘jolly good thing too’ regardless of the framing of law. Again the venal minority made paedophilia and abuse fair sport in the schools which retained cp. It is nothing inherent in cp that rules it unacceptable per se, it is the inability to police its use or its users. Where cp was used, too often it was surrounded by a foul-smelling cesspool of pedophilia and sadism.
