I’ve no problem with the idea that a school would decide to introduce corporal punishment for both boys and girls if conditions 1 through 5 above, are met, and that is the majority decision. But I also believe it should be permissible for corporal punishment to be introduced for one sex and not for the other, if that’s what the parents and students want. And there are cases where I believe that would be the case.
