As you’ll probably guess, alleged bullying played a part in many appeals. So I got to know about how effective(or not)any of the dozen secondary schools I dealt with were in dealing with it.
There was a requirement by law for a school to have an effective anti-bullying policy. I found 10 of the 12 took it seriously enough, the other 2 were lip-service merchants;just do a little digging & you found out the truth. You also know why I don’t do it any more-too inclined not to take things at face value!!
What that probably means is Mr Harvey’s school may just be the 1 in 6 I found. That doesn’t mean the school was even indisciplined if so.
What it does mean, though, is teachers either don’t know or don’t care what’s going on there.
