“No Spockings, I do not waste time giving out lines. My approach to dealing with boys in need of corporal punishment is to give them a thrashing that they will never forget or want repeated. Occasionally regrettably it is necessary to beat a boy a second time – like the two boys before you who were caught smoking again – but I have never had a boy in here for a third beating.
