When I got to secondary school in the first year I was slippered a lot by mainly male teachers, but one female teacher(P.E mistress called Miss Davis) seemed to just have it in for me and she slippered me a lot in the first 2 years. I did get the cane as well, but it was never administered with a vengeance. I think this was because the plimsoll was so widely administered, that the teachers knew that if they really wanted to “vent their spleen” then they could deliver that pump with maximum force.
Girls did get caned on their hands and the P.E mistress’s would slipper them on their behinds, but this was very rare.
