The slipper at school3

I secretly witnessed 2 girls from the year below getting slippered by a right hard case called Mrs Turley. She slippered me ..”once” I was mad at school but I wasn’t that mad that I was prepared to let her catch me again. I thought I had escaped from being slippered by female teachers (very embarassing at that age). A slippering off Davis was not pleasant but off Turley…that was just too much!
One more thing,I find it interesting when people say they were whacked with a black plimsoll at their secondary school. At my secondary school (1974-79) there wasn’t a black pump in sight, everyone wore white pumps until about 1977 onwards when trainers became the thing. We still were only allowed to wear plimsolls in the gym because trainers marked the floor, which suited me fine because I loved wearing my plimsolls and still do.
