I must admit it was a stupid and dangerous thing to do as if it had hit another member of the class could have caused a nasty injury. The teacher was not sure who had kicked the ball so he immediately asked who was responsible. I had no option but to own up and admit to my stupid action.

After a brief telling off I was informed that I would be punished but curiously at that point I was not told what form the punishment would take. When the teacher left the gym it was obvious what the outcome was going to be. I knew from previous experience that he was going to fetch the slipper(a size 11 rubber soled plimsoll) and that I was going to have my backside walloped.
