I know what one stroke feels like I can imagine that with ease. Now I am told that I am going to get six. I can imagine that it will hurt more but thats about it. What I can imagine is the desire to remove the effect of the first stroke yet not being able to. The requirement to remain bent is the most dominant thought.
Six strokes obviously takes six times longer to receive than one. My contention is that on the assumption that the cane doesnt strike the same part of your bottom repeatedly, what is happening is that you are experiencing six single strokes. The second stroke doesnt hurt twice as much as the first, its just a repetition of the first. Six strokes merely extends by a factor of six the first stroke sensation.
What is undoubtedly different is the requirement to remain bent for longer and the denial of relief.
