BREAK TO LUNCH
This was mostly the time I used for doing the paperwork, but before I could start this I had to deal with boys that had been naughty at break. They were mostly told to see me after school. Between now and lunch at 12.20 I always toured the school twice, checking on classrooms.
Besides this, my first job was to check and make a list of all the boys that were absent. The second job was to compare the absence notes with the boys who had returned from school. The boys that had returned without a note were sent for, and unless their was a very good excuse they had to see me after school for two or three of the cane, and of course supply the note the next day.
