since his dad has been away/been killed he is doing what he likes. I am not strong enough to give him the thrashing he deserves, and I dont know anybody that could do it. (sometimes this was changed to I have not used the belt before and am afraid I might hit him in the wrong place. It is a man’s job). I would then be given the full details of all the things he had done and knew what was coming. If his dad were here, he would get x whacks of the belt. I would be so pleased if on your way home you could call in and give him what he deserves. One could not really refuse so my day would be extended ( I will cover these home visits in a separate post). In between this, there was a good chance that somebody else would come and complain about the conduct of a certain boy or group. You then had to take all the details and it was something else to sort out after assembly.(if members are interested I will do a separate post on some of the things people complained about)
