I was also a head prefect and can assure you that we were not issued with tawse or slipper but equally there were no restrictions on open-handed smacking. The head prefect did not have her own study but shared a common room with other prefects.
Only the head prefect and her deputy were officially allowed to administer c.p, but if the other prefects did there were no consequences since it was considered in the interests of the school to maintain discipline. Those are the facts. Anybody disputing them risks infringing on certain copyright laws which are too obvious to mention.
