I do not think there is one correct answer to this question since it depends on the situation. I know that the general consensus would be that taswing is a bit severe in today’s very liberal climate, however, there is no doubt that it is very effective in improving attitudes when needed.
I only need cite the rather infamous incident involving our young friend and some rather insolent young scallywags. I am quite sure that these girls knew that a visit to the office of the senior mistress would result in corporal punishment rather than just the possibility of detention.
