In view of the posts over the past few weeks by <strong>JJ</strong>, I thought it might be worth resurrecting this thread.
Can I just say, first of all, that for this discussion it doesn’t matter whether JJ’s posts are factual or not. For me they have the ring of truth about them, but even if you’re skeptical then you could just treat them as “thought experiments”. Here is a teacher who derives pleasure from slippering girls’ bottoms, and who engineers circumstances so that he can do this more frequently. These activities were, though, formally within the rules of the time.
