I have to say the value of CP is at home and between the ages of about 5-8 years old. After that, if they haven’t learnt, they never will.
The parental thing is important because once they learn that there is a line drawn in the sand and that if they go over it after due warning their bottom will be smacked, they are a lot less likely to do over the line at school.
Of course, the middle daughter of my 1st marriage did, so I encouraged the schoolmistress to give her the cane-hypocrite or what? Still, it at least taught her a lesson that needs enemies with friends like Daddy.
And it hastened the divorce!
I think today’s teenagers are also not exactly going to be willing participants. Better send them round the school picking up litter, cleaning graffiti off walls, in my opinion, them serve the community.
