The cane hurts like Hell as I’m sure most of your readers know. The strap leaves an all over soreness that lasts for some time the cane bites into the bum much more and can even draw blood if applied hard enough. Only once did I have both. I had 13 of the strap in the morning for not getting high enough marks in a history test. His remark was always ‘If you don’t get enough high marks, I’ll make some for you’ And at lunch time got caught for smoking (second time) so it was to the head for 8 with the cane. I couldn’t sit properly for two days and the marks were there for at least 10 days maybe longer but I had another tanning by then.
