In my position, we have to find methods that work for every single one of more than a thousand children – not just methods that work for a handful. Even a method that was 90% successful, would still fail in one hundred cases – and while I think Gordon’s work is brilliant, it’s not that successful. My estimate after using it for a couple of decades is that it works for about 70% of boys. I am told that its success rate is higher with girls. That’s a good number – but it isn’t good enough by itself.
