Any form of corporal punishment should certainly NOT be like a couple of cases recently posted about abusive paddling causing injury and breaking bones. To think of a big man using two hands on a paddle that is the dimensions and the weight of a small club is beyond all reason. The American way in schools is to have everything written down, and it is either right or wrong, no in-between, no common sense, if a paddling offence, then as hard as possible, no matter what the offence or the size of the pupil.
