There is an immense amount of research into the fact that boys and girls react differently to different punishments, and that they perceive them differently. There is NO research I have ever seen that suggests otherwise. None whatsoever that I have ever been able to find – and I’ve looked for it. Extensively.</div>
There is also a lot of research showing that there are no sex difference – Marjorie Gunnoe’s for example. Some children react differently for other simply because they’re individuals. Saying girls react one way and boys another ignores that individuality. Insisting on treating children according to their sex guarantees doing the wrong thing for those who do not fit their supposed sex stereotype.
