Children might not be customers (although that’s debatable) but their parents are. That doesn’t stop some schools from treating parents as “subordinates” and with the same contempt they treat their pupils with. Children go to school to be educated, they’re not there to serve the school, they are meant to be served by the school. Children (and often parents) are expected to put themselves out “for the good of the school”. Why should they?
