Corporal punishment will never return to UK schools as we have become a soft country where children can do no wrong. Nothing must be done to spoil their dream world where they can do what they like without fear of any correction. Of course, we had teachers who abused their position and nobody could deny that some teachers whacked boys for their own personal satisfaction, but just because a few abuse it does not mean it should be banned. just because people have too much to drink and crash cars as a result killing people does not mean that we make it against the law to drink at all or to drive cars. We make regulations.
